blink and stop

her eyes close, her face enjoying the gentle lapping of the breeze. when the boat sailed and she was submissive to its every whim she felt so free — so many emotions that she’d never felt before. she was lost in the nature of god.

see : the amazing girl that doesn’t tell the truth. she’s living, young, beautiful (but not on the inside). she lets herself go in the wind while the one she loves cries under the ship. drowning in his own denial.

it’s just that something was wrong.

her heart felt heavy that day, heavy enough to sink the sail boat, but the wind caught her sails and she prayed that the boy wouldn’t catch her in her lies. she scratched her fingernails into the surface of her skin, breaking it’s completeness the way that the ships hull broke the skin of the water.

she wanted the feeling to go away. no one was worth it anymore.

her eyes close, her face enjoys the breaking of the water beneath her. her lungs fill with it. he’ll never find out. until they meet at the funeral.
